Introduction

International Commercial is a family business and part of a business group with more than 40 years of experience in the African market. Currently this group is present in many African countries like Mozambique, Democratic republic of Congo and Ghana.

International Commercial was established in 1996 as an export oriented importer  and wholesaler with a bonded warehouse status. It is located in Oshikango, the fast developing and vibrant  town in the northern Ohangwena Region of Namibia at the border with Angola.

General Activity

International Commercial trades in general merchandise like furniture, home appliances, home and office electronics, mobile phones, IT products  as well as industrial ware including generators and machinery, tools and construction material. We also stock a large variety of vehicles from trucks and busses to motorcycles. International Commercial is likely to vend close to anything and everything that might be needed in a home or a business.

International Commercial imports its merchandise through the Namibian port of Walvis Bay from right around the world mainly:  Asia, South America, ME and South Africa. International Commercial caters it's consumers all over the Angola territory.

Occupational Area

International Commercial currently occupies around 3 town blocks in Oshikango totaling more than 70,000 m2. This area is distributed into 40,000m2 of storage area and 10,000m2 of display area and 20,000m2 of loading areas and other facilities.

Investment/Imports

Over the past 15 years International Commercial has invested a considerable amount to construct 22 warehouses and 4 showrooms International commercial is considered as a leading company in Oshikango and as the biggest investment in the northern part of Namibia. International Commercial total Imports exceeded 2000 containers in 2011.

Working Staff

International Commercial is  currently employing more than 300 staff member. With this number International Commercial is consideredto be the biggest employer in the northern region of Namibia.

International Commercial and Nokia

International Commercial became a Nokia official distributor for the Namibian and Angolan market in November 2008. Through hard work and commitment we succeeded in bringing up the Nokia brand to be the dominant brand with an outstanding market share and exponential increase in sales figures.

International Commercial and ICON

We have developed our own Household Appliances and Technology brand - ICON. ICON, created and developed at our facilities, is an acronym for International COmmercial Namibia and was introduced to the market in 1997. Now, ICON is one of the most popular brands in the Angolan market.

International Commercial and Panasonic

International Commercial became the sole distributor of Panasonic products for the Namibian and Angolan market in April 2010. Panasonic chose International Commercial among all other competitors for the wide experience and the know how International Commercial has in the field.

In a very short period of time and through extensive marketing campaigns, Panasonic started to gain market share in a very fast pace in both the Namibian and Angolan market.

International Commercial and Other Partners

International Commercial established a solid business relation with BAJAJ motors for the Indian two wheels as well as with Force Motors India for commercial trucks and busses. As official distributors for these two brands we managed to gain the major market share for Bajaj motorcycles in Angola as well as to establish an acceptable market for the Force trucks and busses.
